RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ECCO HEATING PRODUCTS LTD.
CORPORATE OPERATIONS, LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA

We have an immediate full-time opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Corporate Operations office in Langley, BC. This is a junior position with potential for advancement. You will be responsible for answering and distributing incoming phone calls, working closely with the Corporate administrative team to support the activities of the Corporate office to facilitate the efficient operation of the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner, whether in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries to appropriate departments;
  • Answer a multi-line telephone, transferring calls to the appropriate department;
  • Word processing including data entry for excel spreadsheet reports;
  • Assist Accounts Payable and Receivable;
  • Assist with copying and document preparation;
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments;
  • Ensure reception area is maintained is a safe, neat and orderly manner.

DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a professional environment, including reception;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (English);
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize a must;
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Desire to be a long term employee and contribute to the company’s overall success.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK ECCO SUPPLY™ - BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Our busy branch in Burnaby, BC has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Clerk. You will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations by complying with established policies and procedures. This position requires an aptitude for detail and organization with a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build positive working relationships with customers to achieve better collections and invoice problem resolutions
  • Conduct frequent collection calls with customers for updated information on payments and invoice issues
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure billing problems are corrected as quickly as possible
  • Communicate status of credit checks and open accounts with Branch Manager and Credit Manager
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date files
  • Assist the accounting department with other accounting and administrative duties as needed

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ A/R experience including collections, granting credit and reconciling
  • Post-secondary education and related experience an asset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (English)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Able to deal with others effectively; negotiating skills and conflict resolution
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment; ability to meet deadlines essential
  • Confidentiality and discretion a must

COMMERCIAL SHEET METAL ESTIMATOR – LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA BRANCH

Our busy branch in Langley, BC requires a Commercial Sheet Metal Estimator. You will promote ECCO’s manufactured and resale product lines to commercial contractors providing detailed and accurate HVAC estimates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently estimate and secure commitments
  • Establish strong, productive customer relationships
  • Assist customers in the design and drawing of commercial heating and ventilation systems
  • Perform accurate blueprint take-offs for all HVAC related materials in preparing estimates
  • Coordinate with other departments direction and scheduling
  • Communicate with customers to ensure they are completely satisfied with ECCO’s product and service

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2 – 4 years in HVAC commercial sheet metal estimating role
  • Trade certificate in Sheet Metal or a post-secondary degree/certificate in Mechanical Sciences an asset
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including estimating software
  • Excellent communication skills: high energy, enthusiastic with proven people skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Desire to be a long term employee and contribute to the company’s overall success
